3.study for… 为了。。。而学习 Last night, I studied for today’s English test.
延伸：for 的几种用法

go for a walk 去散步，表示目的或目标 “翻译时可不做具体翻译”

结构：stay + 介词 + 地点 （stay是个不及物动词）
