Step 1 Warm-up

1.     Listen and do. Speech cassette Let’s do in Unit 2.

2.     Ereryday English practice. Get the students to talk about the schoolthings, classroom, and friends.

Step 2 Preview

1.     Games: Count the numbers from 1to 50 one by one. The students who make mistakes stand up. Stress on the pronunciation.

2.     Read the pictures, report the numbers.(There are some things, like pens, flowers….)

3.     Find out the right sentences: Watch the main pictures in the three units. Teacher reads a sentence the students find it and read it out loudly.

Step3 Presentation

1.      Show a picture of bananas. Look, How many bananas? Six. How about this one? How many? Three. What’s six plus three? Nine.

2.      Practice more with the things in the classroom

with the drill What’s….plus ….?

3.      Show some questions about the classroom, schoolbag, friends, ask the students to talk about them freely.

4.      Games: Have a race to practice the questions, answer the questions in Let’s play. Divide the students into groups.

Step 4 Consolidation and extension

1.      Listen to the tape to follow.

2.      Finish off the Kewai Book.
