Step 1 Key Vocabulary
1. Showing pictures of foods, by using the questions of“What’s this? ” and “What’re these?” to teach and practice the names of the food: bananas, oranges, pears, tomatoes, hamburgers, strawberries,French fries, salad, ice cream, broccoli.
2. Ask students in groups to read the vocabulary.
3. Spot test: pick some pictures up and demand some students to enounce English names of food.

Call student attention to the picture and ask.
T: What can you see? Can you see hamburgers?
Ss: Yes, I can.
T: It’s d. Right?
Ss: Yes.
T: Now, you are asked to match the words with the pictures.
Students work on their own.
Correct the answers.

Step 3 Presentation
Call student attention to the picture in teacher’s hand and ask.
T; I have bananas. Do you have bananas?
Ss: No, I don’t.
T: Do you have a pen?
Ss: Yes, I do.
T: I like bananas. I don’t like hamburgers. Do you like bananas?
Ss: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
T: I don’t like hamburgers. Do you like hamburgers?
Ss: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
T: Do you like oranges/…?
Ss: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
Then, repeat the dialogue, and ask student individually to answer.
Step 4 1c Pairwork
Students work in pairs. Make their own conversations using the key vocabulary and the target language. One student ask and the other one answer, then change the role. Deal with any problems the students raise while practicing.

Point out the boxes where students will write a number for each conversation.

Step 5 Write and Practice
Say the conversations in speech bubbles in Activity 2b and have students repeat.
Write the sentence on the blackboard.

Ask students make sentences follow the above example.
Then ask students draw a table and list what they like and dislike separately. Then Work in pairs to make dialogue as the model:
A: I like bananas. Do you like bananas?
B: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
A: I don’t like oranges. Do you like oranges?
B: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
Then A and B change the role.
Call same pairs to perform before the class.
Step 5 Homework
1. Cope the key vocabulary for 5 times.
2. Make new dialogue by the new sentence structures:
Do you like…?
Yes, I do. No, I don’t.
I like…. /I don’t like…
Step 6 Summary
In this class, we’ve learned the names of foods and practiced asking and answering questions about likes and dislikes and how to express likes and dislikes.
