Unit 1
The First Period 一
一、教学目标
A.知识目标
  1.读准并熟练拼写本单元单词
  2.初步理解现在进行时,学会使用"What are you doing ?" "I'm doing… ." 
B. 技能目标
  1.根据所提供的语言材料,灵活运用单词。
  2.听懂"what are you doing ?" "I'm doing… ." 并能正确运用该句式来讲述自己正在做的事情
C. 情感目标
  通过合作学习,使学生乐于学习,勇于竞争,不甘落后,养成积极参与的好习惯
二、重、难点
  熟练拼写单词,听懂句式结构
三、教学过程
  Step 1 Warm up and revision
  As this is the first English class for the students ,it is necessary for them to get to know each other . Let them introduce themselves.They may begin like this "Hello,everyone.My name is … I'm …years old . My birthday is … I like…"
 通过这一环节的交流,可起到以下作用:
1、创设英语学习的氛围2,便于学生互相熟悉,为接下来的合作学习打下基础3,用简单的英语进行交际,增强自信心
  At last make a coversation like "Where do you do …?" "At home".
 通过这一对话,既起到复习作用,又为新课作了铺垫。
 Step 2 Learn the new words
1.Learn to read
Show some pictures and ask the students to guess the Chinese meanings
and then learn to the new words again and again.
2.Practice reading
Take out their own cards , practice reading the words and then work in
pairs to have a check. .
3.Practice spelling
Ask the students to learn the new words by heart using the cards , Before doing this , give a simple explanation to help them .
eg : toy-boy ;  shopping-shop-stop ; mall-all ; read-red ; bird-birth …
Walk around the class and check their progress .When most of them learn the words well,ask the students to work in pairs to have a check..
这一环节主要采用小卡片来学习单词,要求学生在制作卡片的时候,尽可能地用图画表示出汉语意思,这就给学生提供了一个想象的空间,一个展示自己的舞台.通过这种自制的卡片,可以使记单词变得生动有趣,提高了学习效率;学生在相互合作的过程中,体验到学习的快乐,增强了竞争意识。
Step 3 Practice and progress
In this step I'll provide the students some chances to practice the words .
1.Read and spell the words
Ask the students to read and spell the words one by one by showing my cards .If one can not answer it , just say "Sorry ." and sit down . I'll ask someone else to complete it .
2.Answer some questions with the new words by showing the pictures .
eg : I . _What's this in English ? -It's a camera ./a bird /a toy / a stop / an apartment .
   II. -Where do you read ? / swim /wait for a bus ?
-At the library./ at the mall / at the pool / at the bus stop .
First I'll ask , the students try to answer in the right way . Then let the students ask and answer in pairs according to model given . If possible , ask some pairs of them to present their coversation to the class . 
通过这一环节的操练,使单词得到了巩固和提高。
Step 4 Learn to say
In this step , I'll teach them to say " What are you doing ?" "I'm doing …"
1.Presentation
Act out the activities of "read" , "clean", "wait for a bus", then make statements of myself. For example : "I'm reading./ cleaning / waiting for a bus". Then ask the some students to act out the same actions and ask them "What are you doing ?" Guide them to answer.
2. Practice
Write the two sentences on the blackboard , stress "ing". After this , ask the students to work in pairs to practice the dialogue .
3.A Game
Give the students some time to prepare to act with bobies . Then make a coversation about it , At last , choose the best pair and the best actor .
4. Write  
Write the two sentences in their exercise-books . While writing, read them fluently.
通过这一环节的教学,即巩固加深了单词的记忆,同时学说了 "What are you doing ?".   使学生对现在进行时有了一个初步的认识。
Step 5 Sum up
Guide the students to tell "What have you learnt in this class?"
通过引导学生自己总结本节课所学内容,一方面可以帮助学生搜索记忆,加深印象;另一方面也可以使学生进行自我评价"我学会了吗?"
Step 6 Homework
1.Practice reading and spelling the words , then have a dictation.
2.Make a telephone call to three of your classmates , saying "What are you doing?" "I'm doing…"
3.Collect more activities , such as "watching , doing, eating…" , write them in the notebooks.
这一环节 充分利用任务型教学手段,让学生查漏补缺。
