     Where does she work? She works on a farm.

（3）What does she want to be? She wants to be a shop assistant．

Phrases: TV station, bus station, police station, on the farm

Master and use: What do you do? I’m a reporter．

What does your mother do? She is a farmer.

                Where does she work? She works on a farm.

Difficult point: Use the language to ask for the jobs

Step 1: Presentation

T : First I’ll ask you questions:

What do you do?  Where do you study?

Step 2: Ask and answer

Show Ss the pictures one by one. And ask:

What does he / she do?   Where does he / she work?

Step 3: Practice

1. Show Ss the pictures one by one again. Ss read the words about the jobs and the work place.

Eg: policeman, police station;  reporter, TV station; farmer, farm; ------

2. Again show Ss the pictures one by one. Have the Ss say:

   A doctor works in a hospital.

   A teacher works in a school

   A farmer works on a farm.

Step 4: Practice

1. Ss finish 1a, 1b, 2a in Section A.

2.     Ask several Ss:

What do you do? Where do you study?

What does your father / mother / sister/ brother / uncle / aunt do?

Where does he / she work?

3.     Make a survey:

Language needed: What does your father / mother / sister/ brother / uncle / aunt do?  Where does he / she work?

4.Report: His father / mother / sister/ brother is a -. He / she works in-- .

Step 5: Homework

•        Translate: 你父亲是干什么工作的? 他是个医生。他在哪里工作? 他在人民医院工作。

•        Getting ready foe tomorrow’s dictation.
