方法一  小组竞赛:出示图片2分钟,学生说: The bank is next to …in Picture 1,the library is across from…in picture 2. 哪组说得多那组获胜.

方法二  游戏(which place is it?)学生背对黑板,老师指出地图某一地方,向该学生发问,It is on -----  It is next to….which place is it? 直到猜出该地名.

Step 2: Dictation

Is there a pay phone near here? Yes, there is.one on Center ST Where is the post office ? It’s between the hotel and the supermarket.

Step 3:Presentation(呈现新知识)

Step4:Asking the way and give directions(指路)

Excuse me. Where’s the…?

          Is there a… near here/in the neighborhood?

          Can you tell me how to get to the…?

          Can you tell me the way to the…?

          How can I get to the…?

          Go straight (along…). 

          Go down/up/along…Street.      Turn right/left (at 2nd crossing)  

          Cross the bridge.              It’s on your right/left./ It’s on the left / right.

2. Ask students to ask the way to hospital, post office, Daxing Supermarket, Wanhao Hotel.

3Finish the 3a,3b in page 9.Share the answers with the students .

Step7: Homework

1.Put the following in to English.

劳驾,附近有图书馆吗? 有。一直走,在第三个路口向左转,过桥再转右。它在你的右边。

2.Getting ready for tomorrow’s dictation.

 

 

教学后记:

本课主题是问路和指路,涉及的场所和路线较多,如果能利用多媒来完成整个教学,能够达到更好的效果。

Teaching aims and demands :

Is there a pay phone in the neighborhood?  Yes, it's on Bridge Street on the right

Teaching steps:

Step 1: Revision

1.Excuse me. Is there a pay phone near here? Yes, there is.

Where’s it?  It’s across from our school.

2.Excuse me. Can you tell me the way to the hospital?

It’s a long way. You must take a bus. /You can take the No.3 bus there. The bus stop is on the left.

3. Excuse me. How can I get to the library?

Go down / up / along this street. Turn left at 2nd crossing. Cross the bridge, then turn right.

It’s on your right.

Step 2: Dictation

turn right, turn left, go straight. Can you tell me the way to the park?

Go straight along Center Street. Turn right at 2nd crossing. Cross the bridge. Then turn left.               It’s on your right.

Step 3: Presentation

1Reading the passage by themselves and find out the new words or the points they can't understand

Explain some difficult points:

2Read the passage togetherAsk them to circle the description words
