Teaching aids: Recorder, some pictures about the places, simple maps.

Teaching steps:

Step 1: Revise prepositions

Show a picture about Lily’s bedroom.

T:This is a picture of Lily’s bedroom Where’re her school clothes ?

S:They’re under the bed.

T:Where’s her English book?..Can you fond it on the desk ?

S:No,It’s in her school bag.

T:Maybe.Thank you .

Step2: Look, learn and say

1.Show some pictures about the places to design these places eg, post office…,（show these pictures one by one, and ask What is it？）

2.Students look at the pictures carefully, then answer teacher's questions and repeat after the teachers.Correct their pronunciation one by one.

2．Ss look at the simple map，finish the exercises in 2a/2b. (Listen and circle the places on book.)

Ss finish the exercises:

3.Ask students to talk about their city and school.

Ss work in groups of four to say some sentences using these prep.

1.     Make sentences using next to, between --- and-----, across from, on.

2.       Getting ready for tomorrow’s dictation.
